On April 2–3, Marcin Śleszyński, Compound Manager from the National Library of Chemical Compounds (NLCC) POL-OPENSCREEN, took part in the international networking conference CEBioforum. This event brings together biotechnology innovators, industry representatives, and business professionals. The annual meeting was held at the Cambridge Innovation Center in Varso Place, Warsaw.

Speakers and panel participants discussed the challenges of the modern biotechnology market in Poland and Europe. They mentioned a number of problems that influence how the current market works. There were also discussions about the need to commercialize ideas and the difficulties in implementing new technologies and solutions. Many conversations focused on today’s economy, safety issues, and what the world looks like after the global pandemic.

The meeting enabled the exchange of knowledge and the establishment of direct contacts with representatives of other research institutions as well as employees from the biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. This is of fundamental importance for the development and updating of the NLCC chemical compounds collection, allowing its resources to be aligned with the real needs of the sector and supporting collaboration between science and industry.
