calendar_today18.02.2026

On February 16, 2026, representatives from the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS (IChB PAN) and the Institute of Medical Biology PAS (IBM PAN) met to officially establish the Joint Promotion Team. This move is a cornerstone of the “Promotion and Service Development Strategy of the POL-OPENSCREEN Consortium,” formalizing the synergy between these two leading institutions.

The primary objective of the team is to coordinate promotional efforts and develop an integrated, “end-to-end” service offer. By merging the unique expertise of both institutes, the consortium provides a seamless research cycle:

IBM PAN: Management of the National Compound Library (KBZCh) and primary screening for antiviral and antibacterial activity.

IChB PAN: Advanced High-Throughput Screening (HTS), “hit to lead” validation, and medicinal chemistry services.

The strategy marks a shift from decentralized, ad-hoc promotion to professional, proactive business development. A key feature of this new approach is the innovative voucher system, offering researchers free access to infrastructure services to help them generate preliminary data for future grant applications.

The team consists of dedicated coordinators and subject matter experts from both institutes, ensuring consistent communication and high-level support for our community.
