POL-OPENSCREEN Visit to CZ-OPENSCREEN in Prague
As part of the EU-OPENSCREEN partnership, Marcin Śleszyński, Compound Manager at the National Library of Chemical Compounds POL-OPENSCREEN, took part in a one-week staff exchange at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, CZ-OPENSCREEN. The aim of the visit was to strengthen cooperation between the two infrastructures and exchange experience in the management of compound libraries, laboratory automation, high-throughput screening (HTS), and IT solutions supporting research.
The programme included both theoretical presentations and practical training on Compound Management infrastructure, sample quality control, the ScreenX and ECBD systems, and modern tools used for managing research data. An important part of the visit was also a series of meetings with scientists and software development team. These meetings provided an opportunity to exchange experience and discuss good practices used at both centres.
During the visit, the activities of POL-OPENSCREEN were presented, including the operation of the National Library of Chemical Compounds and the processes and organisational solutions currently in use. The meetings and discussions confirmed the strong potential for further cooperation between the partners and highlighted new opportunities for joint activities within the European research infrastructure.
Participation in the exchange programme helped strengthen the relationship between POL-OPENSCREEN and CZ-OPENSCREEN, supporting international cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and good practices within the EU-OPENSCREEN community.
