On October 10th and 11th, 2023, a two-person delegation from the Coriolan Dragulescu Institute of Chemistry (ICT) Romanian Academy of Sciences in Timisoara visited the National Library of Chemical Compounds (NLCC), under the auspices of EU-OPENSCREEN DRIVE: Ramona Curpan PhD and Luminita Crisan PhD.

The aim of the visit was to acquaint with the infrastructure of NLCC and to exchange experiences in connection with the planned launch of the Romanian library of chemical compounds at ICT and Romania’s candidacy for membership in EU-OPENSCREEN ERIC.

The guests were informed about the principles of operation of NLCC, the agreements (MTA) with chemists donating compounds to NLCC and the rules of intellectual property rights protection. They also had the opportunity to see live all stages of the process of transferring compounds, their storage, bioprofiling and making them available for biological screening tests.
